Kit 1 - Motor Stirling in Kit Form of Type Gamma. Design and Assembly of the Presented Kit: Alain Ducros The kit allows for the creation of a playful Stirling motor based on the principle of a Lego-like structure, consisting mainly of printed parts, recovered food boxes, and common hardware components. Unique Feature of the Kit: The assembly is not limited to a specific dimension, and it adapts to the size of the food box used. Various assembly options are available depending on the choice of materials and components. The sub-assembly of the piston and inertia wheel is adjustable, allowing for different piston stroke lengths based on the selected food box. The inertia wheel can be adjusted by adding weight to achieve optimal balance. The crank arm is adjustable using sliding pins or fixed locations with a set step size. The upper portion of the motor housing allows for multiple axis diameters and assembly options with or without bearings. The entire kit is assembled using threaded rods that fit into various holes or elongated slots depending on the diameter of the food box used. This design concept enables testing and adaptation to different materials but requires careful setup to ensure a stable and waterproof system. The kit uses PLA or ABS printed parts, and the piston is made from abrasive cloth, limiting energy input to a few candle flames.
