Motaro made his first appearance in Mortal Kombat 3. He is a Centaur. Also, he has a pair of horns like a goat and a long, metallic tail, similar to a rat that can be used to throw energy orbs as well as to hit. The Centaurs are known for their power and mystical powers. Motaro, with his entire race, harbors a deeply rooted hatred towards the Shokan, whom he sees as inferior. The two races constantly fight each other to prove their worth to Shao Kahn and finally determine who is superior. In MK Armageddon, he appeared as a Minotaur. According to its history, a spell transformed Motaro's Centaur race into Minotaurs. In MKA's final, Motaro breaks that spell by mistake, his race returns to normal and it is said that the Shokan cast a spell on them and they will pay for it.
