Motaro made his first appearance in Mortal Kombat 3. He is a Centaur, characterized by horns like those of a goat and a long metallic tail that can be used to throw energy orbs as well as to strike opponents. Centaurs are known for their power and mystical abilities, and Motaro shares an entrenched hatred for the Shokan, whom he considers inferior. The two species engage in continuous battles with each other in order to demonstrate their value to Shao Kahn and ultimately determine which one is superior. In MK Armageddon, he appeared as a Minotaur after his entire Centaur race was transformed by a spell cast on him.
