Mostly Printed CNC Z-Axis Motor Mount

Mostly Printed CNC Z-Axis Motor Mount

thingiverse

This is a re-design of the Z-Axis Motor Mount for the Mostly Printed CNC, done in order to make motor mounting much simpler and more straightforward. The original design was very difficult to work with because the mounting holes were too deep, making it almost impossible to find a driver that fit into those holes. Now my revised version makes it easy to access the screws, and it also appears to be significantly sturdier. Update: January 19th, 2016 I've received information from the creator of the Mostly Printed CNC that my design had a flaw - the hole for the screw should be offset by exactly 6.25mm. I've made adjustments to include this offset in my drawing, and the two files labeled with a '1' are the corrected versions of this model. Since my original version is working fine for me, I haven't tested this change. If you decide to try out this new design, please let me know how it works for you.
