Mostly Laser Cut MasterSpool

Mostly Laser Cut MasterSpool

I present my Mostly Laser Cut MasterSpool, a project I've been working on to create a fully laser cut version but ultimately found it lacking from an usability perspective. To address this issue, I opted for a compromise by incorporating 3D printed clips to hold the sides and core together, which seems to work quite effectively. The clips come in two versions: v1, which is the most flexible, and v2, which is slightly thicker (and harder to insert). The side panels of the MasterSpool feature my branding and filament remaining guide, but I can provide a blank version if requested. My design is still in development, and I'm actively exploring ideas for a new fully laser cut version. If you're concerned about the core of the MLCMS hitting your spool holder, I recommend using SpikeUK's MasterSpool Spaces. Originally designed for my other laser cut MasterSpool, printing two Wing Nut Spacer's will create a bumper. I appreciate any feedback you may have, which can be left in the comments below.
