This is a convenient upgrade option to make filament changing a breeze on our DELTA printer, designed at Michigan Tech University. This replacement component swaps out the top piece of the extruder mount, two long M3 bolts & nuts, and one piece of rubber tubing. No longer do I have to remove the bolts to switch out filament. To achieve this upgrade, I employed two 5/32 inch extension springs, each measuring one inch in length, held securely in place with two 5/64 inch tension pins, which took the place of M3 bolts. The extruder mount's holes did need a slight reaming to accommodate the springs, and metal rod was used to keep the ends intact. I even had to add a washer as shimming to compensate for the springs being slightly too long.
