MOST - Athena Vibration Dampener
thingiverse
This is a custom vibrational damper designed exclusively for the Athena printer model, part of the MOST series. The damper securely attaches to the motor-end assembly via a snap fit mechanism. The damper effectively minimizes and dampens the vibrations generated by motor movement on your work surface, ensuring a smoother printing experience. For further instructions and detailed information, please visit the following webpage: http://www.appropedia.org/Vibration_Dampener_(MOST_Delta:_Athena) Print Settings: Printer: Athena Rafts: No matter what you choose Supports: None needed Resolution: 0.2 millimeters Infill: 50% solid infill, perfect for added stiffness and structural integrity Notes: The infill percentage directly impacts the printed part's stiffness. Feel free to adjust as required. Design Process: This custom damper was carefully modeled using OpenSCAD. The initial concept was inspired by Mibbens' innovative design for the Folgertech Kossel (thing:131346), which I adapted and refined to suit the Athena printer's specific needs.
