Mosquito Trap with Animal Housing

The mosquito trap model was designed using Solid Edge ST10. As an academic user, the Generative Design feature couldn't be utilized, leading to incompatibility with Keyshot rendering software. Housing 1.asm should be treated as a single part to enable separate application of Generative Design on its upper dome. This part can then be fitted into Housing 2.par for later removal and cleaning. The upper dome's Generative Design resulted in a 40% mass reduction. The trap has two functions: first, a water/detergent trap at the base attracts mosquitoes by making it difficult for them to land; secondly, the upper dome serves as an animal housing area, providing extra control over a larger region with the help of mobile animals like birds or geckos. Food can be placed inside the dome to lure them in further. The eco-friendly and durable design features no electronic parts or moving components, except for cleaning purposes.
