In the Take a Bite out of Malaria! 3D print challenge, I designed a smoker to eliminate bothersome and hazardous mosquitoes. During my Greece vacation, I discovered that smoke could drive away insects like mosquitoes, wasps, and others. Restaurants in Greece had a unique method for this: they placed a little cup on each table with burning coffee residue. Inspired by this, I decided to create a smoker for the challenge. I repurposed a 250ml soda can as the base and collected dried coffee grounds from my machine. After placing some grounds in the can, I lit them with a match, allowed them to burn briefly, then extinguished the flame, resulting in smoke. Finally, I designed a Taj Mahal-inspired smoker top to make it visually appealing. However, it's crucial to remember that this mosquito smoker should only be used outdoors, as smoke inside is hazardous.
