MOSFET breakout
thingiverse
This compact breakout board features two logic-level MOSFETs for driving heaters, DC motors, and solenoids. Successfully tested as a spindle driver with 32 KHz PWM and 27 V power supply, it exhibits no noise or signal stability issues when used with an Arduino Duemilanove. MOSFETs are mounted on screw terminals for easy replacement. Schematics and PCB drawing files are in gEDA format. The board can be printed, milled, or etched using provided toolpaths from gEDA to EMC2/Axis. Hand-cut heatsinks with thermal pads and M3 bolts secure the MOSFETs. Depending on loads and PWM cycles, additional smoothing capacitors may be necessary at motor terminals; monitor for excessive heating. Connect signal and ground terminals to an Arduino or other PWM source.
