Scan of a partial lower right lower jaw of a Prognathodon Mosasaur. Although not dinosaurs themselves, Mosasaurs co-existed with dinosaurs during the same time period. The original fossil has most of its teeth broken off. Therefore, in my digital reconstruction, I used one remaining tooth and re-shaped it to fit other tooth positions where the teeth had broken away. There is also a notable pathology on the side of the jaw where the animal suffered an injury at some point during its lifetime and left an indentation on the bone. Prognathodon sp.
