Located southwest of Warkworth in Northumberland's south bank along River Coquet, this cliff is also known as Morwick Rock Shelter, Jack Rock, and Morwick Crag, boasting numerous prehistoric carvings. Several sections of the cliff face display different types of carved spirals, a rarity in Britain, with most motifs situated at heights not easily accessible by humans. The model recorded on the Beckensall Archive (BA) as Morwick 1f features numerous 'horned spirals', now mostly obscured by lichen. ERA / BA records can be found here: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=609, while Historic England Scheduling details are located at this link: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1014482. This model was created in September 2019 from four images captured by NADRAP Team 2 in 2006 as part of the NADRAP / ERA archive. For optimal viewing, it is recommended to enable texture, as not all motifs are visible with matcap enabled.
