Situated on the south bank of the River Coquet southwest of Warkworth in Northumberland, a cliff known as 'Jack Rock', 'Morwick Crag' and 'Morwick Rock Shelter' boasts numerous prehistoric carvings. Several sections of the north-facing cliff display different types of carved spirals, all of which are relatively rare in Britain. Most of the motifs are located at a height that is not easily accessible. This model documents Morwick 2a on the Beckensall Archive (BA), recorded as a clockwise spiral. However, a spiral is not entirely clear on the photogrammetry model. The ERA / BA record can be accessed online at https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=611. Historic England Scheduling information is available at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1014482. The model was created in 2019, using four images captured in May 2008 by the NADRAP Team 2.
