Mortar 82mm M69A
thingiverse
The Soviet Union developed the 82-BM-37, a high-caliber mortar with an 82 millimeter barrel. B.I. Szayrin designed this powerful artillery piece, which was accepted for military use in 1937. The M-37 draws inspiration from the French Brandt mle 27/31 mortar, but incorporates Russian innovations. A key difference between the 82-BM-37 and its predecessor is the adoption of a round base plate. This improvement allows for more efficient traverse/elevation controls, simplified sighting systems, and spring-loaded shock absorbers on the bi-pod. These updates significantly reduce the need to reposition the mortar between shots. Captured M-37 mortars were designated as 8.2 cm GrW 274/2(r) by German forces.
