Mortal Kombat LED Light/NightLight

I'm excited to show you this video in action. It's an extruded LED Mortal Kombat logo that I printed on my dual extruder. I took a JPEG of the Mortal Kombat logo and traced it in Solidworks. Then, I extruded and filleted the logo, saving it as its own STL for use in dual extrusion. Next, I designed a plate around the logo, adding holes for screws, and saved that as its own STL. Finally, I designed a shell to go around the plate and logo, with aligned screw holes so it can be fastened to the plate. I printed the shell in regular black PLA on my Rep 2. For the dual extrusion, I used the same black PLA for the plate and Bendlay (available at the link below) for the logo. I chose Bendlay because of its extreme translucency - 91% of light passes through. To finish it off, I hooked up an RGB LED strip around the inner shell and connected it to an IR receiver so it can be controlled with a remote.
