Mortal Kombat Coaster (Koaster)

Mortal Kombat Coaster (Koaster)

I was craving a Mortal Kombat coaster (koaster?) to sip my morning coffee with, and nothing gets me pumped up like the words "Fight!" coming to mind as I prepare for another day. To save filament and time: I print with two bottom layers, four or five top layers, three walls/perimeters, and a 20-30% grid/rectilinear infill. Increasing the infill percentage helps improve surface quality. Optional for appearance: I add a concentric top/bottom pattern, which creates a visually appealing design. For an extra touch, I enable ironing in Cura. This setting goes over the printed surface multiple times at a slow speed, melting the top surfaces together to create a polished look. Ironing adds significant time to the print process, but it's worth it for the finished result. To achieve the best results with ironing, I set my speed to 30 mm/s and enable Z-Hop to prevent streaks from forming on the hotend during travel moves.
