Morsako crater field: DTM 8
sketchfab
The Morasko crater field in western Poland has a digital terrain model prepared through the multilevel B-spline interpolation method with enhanced capabilities. Input elevation data comprise points and breaklines, where the points were gathered from digitizing contours on a 1:10,000-scale topographical map. Breaklines are specific topographic features like ridge lines, valley lines, and upper and lower edges of natural scarps that have been edited into simple 2D polyline objects at various points. Additionally, the resulting model has been smoothed using the mesh denoise method, a feature-preserving algorithm that prevents over-smoothing the data while maintaining sharp topographic features defined by specific breaklines.
