This model features a cut in the regolith for opening of access route. Collection date: October 19, 2016.\nLocation: "Lagoa Hill", within the Itacorubi river watershed in central Santa Catarina Island, Florianopolis, Santa Catarina.\nTamazzoli et al (2014) describes the matrix rock as follows:\nThe matrix is a light gray or pink granite, usually with potassium feldspar phenocrysts over fine to medium-grained granular matrix. It frequently associates with Cambirela suite volcanic rocks or Ilha granite as enclaves in the first case or intrusive granitic veins in the last. They can also form larger intrusives bodies.\nIn the same region, there is a Basic Dike "Dark-colored diabasic rocks, afiric, afanitic, or fine, medium, or coarse faneritic. Coarser grain terms occur in the center of thicker dikes and may be classified as gabbros. They form dikes with varying thicknesses, possibly locally reaching up to 200 meters."
