Human: 3ds Max 2010, with V-Ray 2.40.03, I export as FBX without mesh merging. The Morris Upholstered Bench measures 120cm x 40cm x 50cm high. My character's max file fur is made entirely from geometry, allowing for further flexibility when rendered. You can also achieve this effect by deleting the geometric data and adding a modifier instead. Prior to rendering, navigate to the Rendering - Effects tab, click on Hair and Fur, then select mr prim mode below, ensuring system units are set to millimeters. If opting for geometry rendering, first translate your model into a proxy, as this will yield better results in terms of performance and visual accuracy when utilizing effects mode.
