Okay, so this has been revised quite a bit now. I decided to break it up into sections with connector "nubs" for each section that are designed to print on their sides so the layer lines run the length of them instead of across their widths which should eliminate de-lamination issues. Assuming your machine handles bridges well enough, you'll only need supports for the hilt piece and only if you don't print it with the "nub hole" side down. Everything else is ready to go without supports. I've also re-designed this model to fit a 3/4 inch schedule 40 PVC pipe as that fits the scale of this design better and I widened the collar to make it fit an adult hand better than the 1/2 inch version which I have also included, just in case anyone wants to print one for a toddler or something. Anyway, once I print this and verify that everything is good, I'll be calling this one complete. I'll update this summary when I'm confident that it's the way I want it. EDIT: This thing has now been printed and dry fitted and it works really well and looks super cool, but the blade is too small and the nub is a bit too long because I forgot to cut its length for tolerance. So, this thing will once again be re-designed to fix those issues as well as a few more minor details which are wrong compared to the anime. I'm also unsure about the little scycle symbol on the spear head. Does that symbol mirror on the other side as I have it or would it have been opposite to valance out the blade? I've got to go watch some Moribito to get this right. Anyway, I'll post pictures in a while.
