Morgenstern

"I've got a question," he asked. "Do we have an appointment?" I replied, shrugging. "Let me think," said Carrot. "We don't seem to have one." Nobby, however, spoke up. "I have an iron ball with spikes on it," he announced proudly. "That's called a mace, Nobby," I corrected him. As it happens, I've made my own morning star. It was created using ABS plastic, and to avoid support material, I split the ball in half. The same goes for each of the chain rings - printing them separately allowed me to minimize supports even further. Glueing everything together with ABS juice (a mix of ABS and acetone) worked beautifully. To make one of these, all you'll need to print are two pieces from morgenstern_half.stl and 12 half-rings from 12_half_ring.stl. For some reason, support material isn't necessary for the individual chain rings but be sure to use it when printing the main part - especially for those spikes. You could also use chain.stl if you'd like, as I've included both morgenstern.stl and chain.stl for your convenience. However, be warned that the result may not look perfect due to support removal. Also worth noting: beware of those spikes, they're very sharp! Print Settings: Printer: Prusa i3 Supports: Yes Infill: 20% Resolution:.2mm
