New Version: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2383107 I Design Cube Gears with Rounded Corners, Not Sharp Ones. Whpthomas's design is limited by old pin pegs and a single type. It doesn't offer a SCAD file, so I grabbed Emmett's version and rounded the corners myself. Here Are 3 Different Gear Ratios for the Cube. On Photo, The Multicolor Gearcube Has Asymmetrical Translation, But I've Unchecked STL Files; Uncomment In Scad If You Need It. To Get The Colors, I Combined Two 1.75 Filaments Through a 3mm Extruder. This Created Shades and Layers. My Original Design for Globe Holder Fits Wpthomas's Size (45mm), but Emmett's is 50mm. That's Why I Rescaled the Holder to Fit. STL Files Are Only One Side; Mirror in Your Slicer To Get Both. The Small Gearcube Is a Downsized Version, 50% Smaller. It Doesn't Work Well Due to Tiny Pin Pegs. My Printer Can't Provide that Precision. Scaling Down Requires Extra XY Size Compensation from the Printer and Slicer. The Normal-Size Cube I Printed Without This Option (XY_Size_Compensation=0 in Slic3r). Tested with PLA, ABS, or Acetone Vaporized Options. Globe Holder Works Best in PLA; ABS Causes Warping and Makes Gluing Difficult.
