More Bearings - Filament

I designed a customizable bearing using commercially available chrome ball bearings, which helps keep multiple filament spools aligned and easily accessible for the printer. This general-purpose round bearing is parameter driven from a text file that includes parameters such as ball bearing size, inner hole diameter, and outer diameter. The zip file contains both the general purpose round bearing and a filament bearing with larger outer spokes to fit various spool sizes. OpenSCAD files are provided for customization, along with STL files. The outer part of the design features a small piece that fits in a slot to hold the bearing securely in place. Both inner and outer components have cutouts for easy insertion of the bearing. While minimal glue is required, there may be some minor cleanup needed on the inner and outer race. These chrome ball bearings can be purchased from Amazon at approximately $4 for 100, with this design utilizing 15 ball bearings.
