Moonlite Focuser Mounting Spacer
thingiverse
This is a custom-made spacer for the Moonlite Focuser. I own a Skywatcher MN190 telescope, and the spacer that came with the focuser was 13mm thick, which worked perfectly until I decided to add a filter wheel, requiring me to have more back focus. To achieve this, I replaced the 13mm aluminum spacer with a 3D printed one measuring only 3mm. Critical focus on my MN190 telescope is precisely 0.08mm, meaning that if you move from the focused position by more than 0.08mm, your image will be out of focus. Therefore, any spacer between the focuser and the telescope needs to be perfectly parallel to maintain focus across both sides of the detector. To ensure a uniform distance across the spacer with minimal variation, I recommend printing on a level bed and including a raft.
