Here is a concept idea for NASA's moon movers challenge.Sending every gram of material to the moon is expensive. Therefore, the cargo box, whose purpose is to protect goods and maintain a certain pressure and temperature, could also have a longer-term functionality after this material has already reached the surface of the moon. Because the box has to contain sensors and valves and batteries, solar panels anyway. Then I divided the box into 3 parts1) The base of the box can be a glass that reflects radiation or a solar panel that collects energy for the climate of the box, and it could also be used as a window and energy collector of the 3d printed house.2) The side of the box would have a spiral air-tight zipper that can be unfolded into a long ribbon with little energy consumption. The strips would be raw material for 3d printers. By mixing this tape material with moon dust, an endless variety of tools or structures can be created on the spot.3) Box door with frame - would contain all the necessary electronics and sensors and valves to maintain the right conditions inside the box. At the same time, this same door could also be used as a 3d-printed moon house door, where there are usually multi-sectional rooms, and when moving through them, it is also necessary to know the pressure on one side and the other. The dimensions of the box can be increased, for example, to the size of a standard door. That way, it is more convenient to move through it with a space suit. But you have to make sure that the logic of the dimensions of the box is such that the box fits through the door itself.A) height = heightB) width = height - frame thickness - 30mmC) depth = width - frame thickness - 30mmSee video here
