Moon topography
thingiverse
This is my high-resolution moon topography globe with an "aesthetically pleasing" vertical exaggeration that stands out from other models on Thingiverse. Most of the models there were designed as lithophanes, resulting in relatively low relief and subtle features only visible when lit up from within. My design prints in two halves without support, making it easy to assemble using superglue. If you want to compare the earth and moon in correct relative size, use my "mini moon" files, which are sized correctly relative to my Earth topography (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3561651) and recently updated version that opens to reveal the core. However, you won't see much detail unless you're using a 0.25 mm nozzle!
