I remixed the base puck to securely hold the USB A connector of the LED strip light used to light the lamp. I used a USB extension cable to connect the lamp to the USB power supply. The USB A connector sticks out of the base puck as shown. The remote control sensor for the light strip sticks out the top of the LED mount and goes inside the globe. Everything other than the base puck is the same as the source.
