Toolmoon's remix was designed specifically to fit onto a standard lamp fixture. This innovative design creates a spherical shape that can be attached to a stand, allowing you to easily add your own LED strip. The central conduit provides a convenient channel for wiring, while the LED strip is securely fastened to the sphere. This design requires a hole in the moon base with a diameter of 29mm and relies on friction fit, but is tapered slightly to ensure a snug fit. To provide extra security, hot glue was used instead of relying solely on the sticky backing found on most LED strips. A standard LED strip was chosen for its versatility, featuring +12v, RGB pads connected directly to ground. By soldering a single ground wire across all three pads, a reliable connection was established. This setup is powered by a 12v power supply and can be controlled using a simple switch.
