Moon Lamp - Alexa Controlled Particle Photon
thingiverse
I adapted the base to fit RGB LED Circular LEDs perfectly. I drilled holes in the sides for easy wire routing down to the controller. This project is controlled by a Particle Photon using my Amazon Alexa Skill and Library (https://github.com/JeremyProffitt/EchoPhotonBridge), and you can find the source code on https://go.particle.io/shared_apps/5a510f576f18bd8652000a2d. Print out the moon and base design. The base has a slot for a Particle Photon with no headers and space for round RGB LEDs. This model was created using Tinkercad, and you can edit it online at https://www.tinkercad.com/things/14nOkkvCwdJ. If you're looking for LED Rings, I get mine from China on eBay. You can find them easily by searching for WS2812b Ring 16 on the site: * 16 WS2812b Ring: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=ws2812b+ring+12&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.Xws2812b+ring+16.TRS1&_nkw=ws2812b+ring+16&_sacat=0 You can also find them on Amazon, Adafruit, or Spark Fun - they're pretty common and easy to find.
