Designed for NASA Challenge: Lunar TORCH.Main objective of this challenge is a design of a heliostat system. With this design, the requirements like thermal protection, compact design, scalability, charging port etc are successfully achieved.Cost of this design is low and easy to manufacture with conventional manufacturing methods.In this design, 25 µm aluminized Mylar on a 500 µm die-cut carbon fiber fabric is used as a reflecting surface which is already tested by NASA.The attention is given to the design of the heliostat; therefore, a simple rover model is used.In addition, the parts of the heliostat system have enough technical details for a conceptual design.All the detailed explanation about the heliostat is given in the pictures.
