A city rising within the ruins of a cratered moon, its walls standing proud amidst the devastation that once ravaged its surface. Inspired by an enigmatic drawing whose creator remains elusive, I set out to bring this lunar metropolis to life in three dimensions. The resulting 3D print stretched over 12 hours at a pace of 60mm/s and a precision of 0.2mm layer height, its intricate details a testament to the technology that brought it forth. In order to do justice to the design, I scaled up my first attempt, printing the city at default size to ensure every nuance of its architecture was rendered accurately. The interior, comprising intricately crafted buildings and structures, emerged from the print without a single support. Only on the exterior did supports become necessary, serving as anchors for the structures that protruded into space. Through trial and error, I refined my approach until finally achieving a result that meets my standards – a testament to perseverance in the face of creative challenges.
