MMU may also be attempted. Wat Phnom, meaning "Mountain Pagoda" in Khmer, is a Buddhist temple (wat), that gives name to the city of Phnom Penh. It has a total height of 46 meters (150ft). The pagoda is named after old lady "Penh" from the foundation story of the city, based on her discovery of one Vishnu and four buddha statues in the river and later enshrinement of them on the hill. The Independence Monument was built in 1958 to memorialise Cambodia's independence from France in 1953. It is 37 m (121 ft) tall and it was designed by Cambodian architect Vann Molyvann by royal command. It is located on the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city. It is in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa, of the style seen at the Khmer temple at Banteay Srei and other historical sites. The Norodom Sihanouk memorial i s a monument built in 2013 commemorating former King Norodom Sihanouk, who passed in 2012. The bronze statue is 4.5 meters tall and is housed under a 27 meter high stupa in the park east of the Independence Monument (from Wikipedia).
