The Victory Monument in Las Coimas recalls the triumph of Mariano Necochea and his troops over royalist forces in the Las Coimas sector of Putaendo on February 7, 1817. The monument was built around 1940 and renovated in 2010 to honor the third victory of the Army of the Andes in Chilean territory.
