Monument to Anna Maria Margherita Frescobaldi

Luigi Frescobaldi commissioned this monument as a tribute to his wife who passed away in 1842. Its design appears to have been influenced by John Flaxman's monument for Agnes Crowell, but with a more sentimental and Christian tone evident throughout. A plaster model was created for the marble version of the monument which is now located in Santo Spirito church in Florence.
