Monument of Charles Perrault at the Tuileries Garden in Paris, France
myminifactory
This 1908 marble monument was crafted by Gabriel Edouard Baptiste Pech (1854-1930) in tribute to the renowned French author Charles Perrault (1628-1703). Many of his iconic characters came alive in Perrault's 1697 publication, "Stories or Tales of Past Times with Morals: Tales of Mother Goose". Some of these characters drew inspiration from similar figures in ancient works, like Puss and Boots, which was based on a character from a 5th Century Hindu collection.
