I needed a base for a mold of an Excalibur for a project I am working on, and after searching endlessly for an appropriate model I finally decided I would make my own version. This model is heavily based on the Monty Python and the Holy Grail Excalibur used by Graham Chapman while playing King Arthur during the film. The scale is pretty close, but the blade should be a touch longer (blade length should be closer to 857mm total), but this more than serves for my purpose. The lesson here? Sometimes you can't wait for some watery tart to throw a sword at you, and you just have to make it for yourself.
