<p><strong>English</strong></p><p>Montserrat is an emblematic mountain of Catalonia. It is a symbol of my country, which we often refer to as the magic mountain.</p><p>With a very characteristic topography and relief, its peak (Sant Jeroni) has an altitude of 1237 m. See: <a href="https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat">https://ca.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montserrat</a></p><p>If you dare to print it, it may not be an easy job.</p><p>I make three proposals for printing at different scales. In all cases, the model represents a land area of ​​10x5 km. The base is level 0 above sea level and is made from contour lines of 10 m.</p><p>These models are made from the Topographic Base of Catalonia 1:5,000 of the <a href="http://www.icgc.cat/">Institut Cartogràfic i Geològic de Catalunya</a> (ICGC), used under a <a href="https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.ca">CC BY 4.0</a> license”.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Model 1: <strong>Montserrat_10x5_50000</strong>. Model at scale 1:50,000 (200x100 mm). It is the easiest to print. You will see all the characteristic relief of the mountain and all the most important peaks (spines). You will find this model at the link: <a href="https://www.printables.com/es/model/301475-montserrat-at-150000-13">https://www.printables.com/es/model/301475-montserrat-at-150000-13</a></p><p>Model 2: <strong>Montserrat_10x5_40000</strong>. Model at scale 1:40,000 (250x125 mm). It allows the full width of the Prusa MK3S hotbed to be used.</p><p>Regarding the 1:50,000 scale print, quite a bit of resolution is gained, now the peaks or needles can be counted in tens and many characteristic features of the mountain can be distinguished. You will find the files <strong>here</strong>.</p><p>Model 3: <strong>Montserrat_10x5_25000</strong>. Model at scale 1:25,000 (400x200 mm). I have divided it into two parts. With this resolution, many details are clearly visible that mountain connoisseurs will quickly identify, the peaks are counted by the hundreds. You will find this model at the link: <a href="https://www.printables.com/es/model/301390-montserrat-mountain-at-125000-33">https://www.printables.com/es/model/301390-montserrat-mountain-at-125000-33</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Model 3: Montserrat_10x5_40000</strong>.</p><p>The material used for printing is PLA Extrafill Mukha (fillamentum). If you're using a Prusa MK3S, with the print settings you'll find in the files, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting a good print, but it's a bit harder to print than the 1:50000 scale model. The reason is that when the resolution is increased, the number of peaks increases greatly and the printing becomes more complicated.</p><p>I have tried other PLAs of fillamentum and prusament and they also gave good result.</p><p>If you use a different filament or a different printer, you will have to find the optimal printing point, according to your experience. Small variations in the temperature of the nozzle significantly affect the final result of the impression.</p><p>This model is the typical one that is ruined at the end of printing. Among the print files you will find <strong>Montserrat_10x5_40000_test.stl</strong>. You will have to do the cleaning very carefully so as not to break the peaks.</p><p>IMPORTANT: To correctly print this model at a scale of 1:40000, a layer height of 0.25 mm must be configured. The height of the initial layer must be 0.2 mm. En tots els casos, el model representa una extensió de terreny de 10x5 km. El model està a escala 1:50.000 (200x100 mm) i és el més fàcil d’imprimir. Veureu tot el relleu característic de la muntanya i tots els pics (agulles) més importants. El model està a escala 1:40.000 (25x12,5 cm) i permet aprofitar tot l’ample de la hotbed de la Prusa MK3S. Respecte a la impressió a escala 1:50.000, es guanya força resolució, ara els pics o agulles es poden contar a desenes i es poden distingir molts trets característics de la muntanya. Els fitxers els trobareu <strong>aquí</strong>.</p><p>Model 3:&nbsp;<strong>Montserrat_10x5_25000</strong>. El model està a escala 1:25.000 (40x20 cm) i l’he dividit en dues meitats. Amb aquesta resolució es fan ben visibles molts detalls què els coneixedors de la muntanya identificaran ràpidament, els pics es compten per centenars. Si utilitzes una Prusa MK3S, amb els paràmetres d’impressió que trobaràs als fitxers, no hauries de tenir molts problemes per a obtenir una bona impressió, però és una mica més difícil d’imprimir que el model a escala 1:50000. La raó és que a l’augmentar la resolució, el nombre d’agulles creix molt i es complica la impressió.</p><p>He provat altres PLA de fillamentum i prusament i també han donat bon resultat.&nbsp;</p><p>Si uses altre filament o altra impressora diferent, hauràs de trobar el punt òptim d’impressió, segons la teva experiència. Petites variacions en la temperatura del nozzle afecten notablement al resultat final de la impressió.&nbsp;</p><p>Aquest model és el típic que s’arruïna al final de la impressió. La neteja és molt complicada per la fragilitat del model. Hauràs de fer la neteja amb molta cura per a no trencar les agulles.&nbsp;</p><p>IMPORTANT: Per a imprimir correctament aquest model a escala 1:40000, s’ha de configurar una altura de capa de 0,25 mm. L’altura de la capa inicial ha de ser 0.2 mm. D’aquesta manera, s’imprimiran correctament totes les corbes de nivell sense perdre informació del fitxer stl.&nbsp;</p><p>També hauràs d’imprimir sense Skitrs ni Brim</p>
