This model is based on actual data, making it a realistic buildings and streets setup of Montreal, Canada. 8 building groups, separated into top and side parts of the buildings, are set up so that you can add variety to buildings by using different colors, materials, and/or textures. Each group can be turned off or on individually. The model is UV mapped with overlapping UVs for ease of use. It is positioned on a flat surface with all buildings aligned on the floor - no elevation data is included. Geometry is polygonal quads and tris. The model is untextured, making it render fast. This 3D model is available to be licensed (commercial use is acceptable) under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license. Buildings and streets data are taken from OpenStreetMap at www.openstreetmap.org. Points/Verts: 2036059 - Polygons: 1673887 The file formats supported include .c4d - native format, .3ds, .fbx - v7.1, .dae - v1.5, and .obj. Extra information is provided to avoid any misunderstanding with the 3D model. The term "streets" in the title refers to the area between the buildings. It's not a separate 3D model. There are other models available that feature actual 3D streets - for example, XYZ Road Network and Streets. You can view more information by watching the preview images. On purchase, you'll receive exactly that 3D model which you see in the preview images. Please note that even though the model reflects reality there may be buildings missing if no data is available for certain parts of the city depending on how far data has been processed. Missing parts might become available later and an update will be made to the model, including for users who have already purchased it - with no additional cost. There could also be buildings included which don't exist yet due to urban planning projects regarding their future development. The same concept applies to any terrain 3D models if they're offered together with this model. Those 3D models are compatible with one another (it can match using a simple copy and paste command) where the description includes information on compatibility. Compatibility will continue to be added over time. If you require an XYZ Streets and Buildings, and an XYZ Road Network model of the same city/area but they're not currently compatible, please contact for availability. Usually such requests are given priority. These models are designed in a minimalist concept to show and present the city or area mentioned in the title. They reflect closely accurate streets and buildings alignments and building heights (excluding areas where no or insufficient data exists) so they can be used for various purposes but not for creating an extremely precise urban scene. These 3D models aren't 3D print ready. On purchase, you'll receive exactly that 3D model seen in the preview images. Lighting setup isn't included so you can render the model in your scenes or download a free rendering studio for city 3D models offered in .c4d and .fbx file formats. The c4d is essentially ready to be rendered. For users working with .fbx and/or .dae, light parameters and details need to be set up within your software.
