Located at historic James Madison's Montpelier in Orange, Virginia, this foundation was carefully excavated in the early 1990s and again in 2016. Upon reconstruction, the building will be meticulously interpreted as a bustling kitchen where James Madison's mother's skilled enslaved cooks actively prepared meals. This detailed model showcases a higher quality view of the foundation's south half.
