Montini building bricks Two Pip Set (Lego Compatible)
thingiverse
Montini building bricks were produced from 1961 to 1969 in the Netherlands, making them a unique piece of history. These iconic blocks were originally crafted from soft, pliable polypropylene, which gave them a distinct flexibility. The diagonal fins on each brick curve slightly around the pips of adjacent blocks. These vintage-inspired Montini bricks are designed for classic Lego full height bricks and have been optimized specifically for use with a 0.4mm nozzle. To ensure seamless compatibility, they feature friction fit parts that require precise tolerances. When printing these Montini bricks, please exercise caution when combining them with original parts. The PLA material used in these models is significantly harder than the original polypropylene, and the layer ridges can cause excessive wear on the vintage bricks. Before printing, inspect your model to ensure that the infill angle aligns with the diagonal fins. This simple adjustment will prevent sagging of the top plate's first layer, which has the pips. I have meticulously modeled most of the original Montini parts, and I look forward to uploading the remaining pieces in the near future. I eagerly await seeing your creative interpretations and would be thrilled to see what you produce!
