Montini Building Bricks Roof Pieces (Lego Compatible)
thingiverse
These Montini part remakes are designed for building roofs of structures. The roof peaks and sides come in 2 and 4 pip lengths. The original design of the peaks didn't function well with rigid PLA, so I made a small modification to the bottom of those parts. Both part types are included in this set. Montini building blocks were manufactured from 1961 to 1969 in the Netherlands. Initially, they were made from soft, pliable polypropylene. The diagonal fins flex slightly around the pips of adjacent blocks. Just like vintage original Montini parts, these remakes are compatible with classic Lego full-height bricks. Do not mix these with genuine Montini parts. PLA is significantly harder than the original blocks, and layer ridges act as sandpaper. You will wear out the genuine Montini blocks quickly.
