Montana Mask Plague Doctor Beak
thingiverse
This is a Plague Doctor beak designed to attach seamlessly to the Montana Mask from makethemasks.com - I used their 3D model of the mask to craft a perfect fit for this beak. The filter plate with flange does fit, albeit with some practice and coaxing, through the beak's opening so you could permanently secure the beak to the mask. However, in my case, the friction fit is spot on, so I've decided to leave it as is. I intentionally created a large gap underneath to prevent airflow restriction - breathing through a mask is already a chore without adding an extra place to trap CO2 or reduce air circulation. "Big Gap, no tolerance" features a large cutout and no additional gap for the mask fit. On my design, it slid into place like it was printed together, providing a highly satisfying result. "No holes, no tolerance - mask fitted" is the version after I trimmed it to match the mask exactly. If you want to create different styles of air holes or a voronoi pattern on your mask, this might be what you're looking for. Just don't use it as-is for a mask, as that would result in suffocation with unnecessary steps.
