Welcome to MONSTROUS MAYHEM, a 3D printable board game where fierce fighters duke it out in the ring! This game is designed to print-and-play with ease. Each monster comes with their own stat card and a handful of health tokens, and all you'll need is the ring (or any 3x3 tile) and two red and blue dice (one set per player, red for offense, blue for defense). Note that this game is in beta version. We'd love to get some help/input from players as we streamline the game and add new pieces. We'll be doing a Kickstarter campaign soon to produce sets, but we'll keep designs open source. The rules are simple: Set up: Each player chooses a monster and takes health tokens equal to their monster's health value, then places their monsters in opposing corners of the ring facing whichever way they choose. Each player rolls a die to determine who goes first. Playing the game: Players alternate turns. Each turn, a player may move their monster, then both monsters roll to fight. Movement: During their turn, a monster can move a number of times equal to their movement value. Each movement may either move one tile forward or turn once to change their facing. A monster cannot move through other monsters. Moving outside the ring causes a monster to lose health and be placed in any tile of the opposing player's choice. Fighting: After moving, both players roll their red and blue dice and consult their cards to determine effects. Add up the total damage and defense values. If a monster is facing another in an adjacent space, compare their damage against the enemy's defense and remove one health token for each point the damage exceeds the defense. If facing an enemy's side or back, get bonus damage. Any monster in the center space can grant a bonus to either damage or defense. Damage marked with (R) can affect the closest target regardless of distance. If a monster loses all their health tokens, they're out of the match and the remaining monster wins.
