I'm going for a sleeker earring based on the original design. To achieve a smooth surface with no texture, I scaled up the Z axis of the model and stripped away the top and bottom patterns to create this flat version. If possible, take some time to enlarge the hole slightly using a warm metal point tool since a .2 resolution setting will almost completely eliminate the hole.
