Created a revised version of the part based off the original 30mm model by reinforcing its neck and then flattening out the contact patch. However, you're forcing the redesigned part to flex in order to make contact with the existing design, which inadvertently makes the neck even more susceptible to damage. The rear side features an angle, so when attempting to fit it flush against a desk edge, it will not lie flat. I was able to find a small gap to grasp onto, allowing me to avoid coming into contact with the backside, and instead utilized this space to add additional strength to that vulnerable joint.
