Monster Magnet Hook
grabcad
I start by having a gigantic metal cabinet in my tool shed / man cave. As a confessed junk hoarder, I possess roughly 12 enormous magnets that originated from a microwave (magnetron). These magnets can be purchased on eBay to confirm the feasibility of this project; I've seen several listings for various sizes to ensure a proper fit after sanding. Once printed, you attach a massive O magnet to the monster magnet hook using epoxy and let it cure before securing the hook to any metal surface you require to hang something from. Be cautious not to disassemble a microwave if you're unsure of what you're doing, as there's high voltage in the capacitor that can be lethal and cause extreme discomfort throughout the process. Printing Settings: Rafts: None Supports: Irrelevant Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 20% Notes: This design can be printed without supports, but the overhang of the hook may appear somewhat lacking. A bit of sanding will rectify this issue.
