Monster Hunter Insect Glaive
myminifactory
This is a full-sized reimagined Monster Hunter insect Glaive, designed specifically to print on my compact Cel-robox printer. Please note that due to the printer's size limitations, this model is divided into multiple pieces. If you have access to a larger printer, feel free to combine these parts for a seamless print. For the most part, no supports are required, except for the sword section, which I printed upright; in hindsight, printing it flat might have been more efficient. A central hole runs through the design, allowing you to insert a sturdy pole for added stability if needed. I utilized a discarded carbon fiber window cleaning pole as a reference point, ensuring the hole accommodates its diameter. There's also ample space within the crystal at the end to incorporate LEDs for an enhanced visual effect. The most resource-intensive printing parts are undoubtedly the rock and dragon head components; to minimize material usage, keep the infill density low on these sections. Be advised that this project has consumed a week of printing time so far, with more work still pending. As such, be prepared for your printer to remain occupied for an extended period. At present, I'm constrained by a looming deadline and would like to revisit the dragon head size in the future, as it appears oversized when printed in reality. This adjustment will have to wait until a later date; for now, this is the current state of the design.
