Here is a Monster Hunter Generations Great Sword promotional display for the contest! I wanted to create something that would impress Capcom and Raise3D, so I designed this cool display piece. What's a Monster Hunter Generations contest without a gigantic full-sized sword? I also made a full-sized version of this which you can find on my profile. Check out the YouTube video showcasing this design here! Here are the key features for this design: -My design showcases the sword in an upright position, making it perfect for displaying at booths and conventions (like CES 2018) -The visibility is excellent due to its height and boldness of the letters -Great advertising for Capcom's new game Monster Hunter Generations and Raise3D's printer line -Easy to print - 100% Support Free and easy to assemble -Secures sword to base with a 1/8'' rod, preventing it from tipping over -Features a realistic rocky base with detailed texture -Features the title of the game in 3D exactly like the cover art (also great for takeaways) -Optimized for normal-sized and larger-sized (Raise3D) printers There are two versions: regular (22'' blade) and split handle version (MHG separate handle) to easily print in handle colors -Version for Raise3D (Raise3D Split): Split into 2 pieces to take advantage of Raise 3D's printing height capabilities -Base - I offer a single version for larger printers (Raise3D) and a "split" version for smaller printers -Optimized for Raise3D's Dual Printing Capabilities There are three different versions for the face plate (text on front of base) -V1 (MHG Sword Separate): Each word is printed separately - Good for all printers (Easiest to print and assemble) -V2 (MHG Promotional Display Combined): Contains only 3 pieces with the text combined with the (black) background (good for manual filament switching) -V3: (Dual Extrusion) Optimized for Dual Printing - Good for printers with dual extruders and minimizes assembly (like the Raise3D) Assembly Instructions: For the sword, insert all the pins and glue the pieces together. You will need to get a 1/8'' rod and cut it to be just short of 14''. This is what will keep the sword upright to the base. The base is pretty straightforward: simply insert the pins and glue the two halves together (for the split version). Face Plate Assembly: For version 1 ("separate"), first, print out all the pieces in their assigned colors (white, yellow, red, and black), and then take the letters and press them into the black piece (this will require a bit of force). Lastly, take the red pieces and super glue them in place, and that's it! V2 (combined) is pretty self-explanatory, and V3 (Dual Extrusion) is a bit more specific, so those who do dual extrusion will know what to do with it. I hope you like my design Capcom, and I hope it brings even more attention to you and your game. Who knows? Maybe we could work together on some things in the future.
