Bowie shook Mumbo awake with a loud "Wake up Mumbo!" as she vigorously shook her shoulders. "Mmm Gm..." groaned Mumbo, clearly not ready to wake up yet. She and Bowie had stayed up all night decorating their homemade aircraft, which they were going to ride in the famous Buddyland Aircraft race. "We're competing today, Mumbo!" Bowie yelled, trying to get her excited. Mumbo quickly shot out of bed and pulled on her signature sweater, clipping her bow into place as she rushed out the door with Bowie to their garage. Their aircraft was waiting for them there, and they had planned all night and day to make sure it would be a winner in the competition. The whole neighborhood was betting on their win! Mumbo and Bowie were part of the Mumbow team, a mix of the two friends who weren't going to let anyone down. Squiddy yelped "Hurry up!" as he helped Eelzer repair the broken wing of their aircraft. It was early in the morning, but Squiddy had heard a tremendous crash and seen that the wing was completely broken when he looked outside. Their aircraft was a spaceship with a blue, white, and red color scheme, and Squiddy ran to get Eelzer to help fix it. The Miniature Marine Machine Team was determined to win! As both teams frantically tried to touch up their aircraft, the Buddyland town was bustling with excitement. Bowie's mom had even made a homemade sign that read "Go Mumbow!" One monster was eating ice cream and dressed in red, white, and blue for the Marine Machine Team. All of the monsters of Buddy land would always gather around the racetrack to watch the games. "Three, two, one, go!" shouted the announcer as Mumbow and Marine Machine took off towards the finish line!
