Bowie shook Mumbo awake with a loud exclamation: "Wake up!" He vigorously jolted her shoulders, trying to rouse her from sleep. Mumbo groggily muttered, "Mmm Gm..." as she struggled to wake up, clearly not ready to face the day yet. Bowie and Mumbo had pulled an all-nighter decorating their homemade aircraft, which they were determined to ride in the famous Buddyland Aircraft race. "We're competing today!" Bowie yelled loudly, hoping to snap Mumbo out of her haze. Mumbo shot out of bed with a start, exclaiming, "Oh no! We'll be late!" She quickly pulled on her signature sweater and clipped on her bow before racing out the door to their garage, where their aircraft was waiting. Mumbo and Bowie had spent countless hours planning for this moment, hoping to secure a spot in the competition. Their whole neighborhood was betting on their win! "Come on!" Squiddy urged Eelzer, who was frantically trying to repair the broken wing of their aircraft. It was still early morning, but Squiddy had heard a loud crash and rushed outside to find that their spaceship's wing was badly damaged! The Miniature Marine Machine Team was in chaos as they scrambled to fix it. Their aircraft featured a striking blue, white, and red color scheme. As both teams desperately tried to make final preparations, the Buddyland town erupted into excitement. Bowie's mom had even created a homemade sign that read "Go Mumbow!" across it! A monster was indulging in ice cream while dressed in red, white, and blue, clearly supporting the Marine Machine Team. The monsters of Buddyland always gathered around the racetrack to watch the thrilling games. "Three, two, one, go!" The crowd roared as Mumbow and Marine Machine sped towards the finish line!
